Welcome to Self Sufficient Home dot com! Enjoy the adventures as Todd and Rhianna buy a house turn it into our home and become more self sufficient.  Our goal for self sufficiency is so that we do not have to worry when the power goes out, a water shortage (or contamination) or there is a temporary shortage in food.  We will be able to continue our daily life with only very minor adjustments.  We will still be able to cook, see at night, drink fresh water, and eat food that we have prepared from our more than “72 hour supply” the government suggests.  Unlike most in the city who are litteraly in the dark during a power outage it is our goal to make this occurance at our home nearly impossible.

This site is starting from zero. We do not own a home yet so you will be going on our home buying adventure as well as the adventure to turn our home into an efficient self sufficient home.
